The day I got hooked on crossfit was when I did my first benchmark workout, I thought to myself how hard can it be, 5 pull ups, 10 push ups,15 air squats, for 20 minutes, 10 minutes into the workout I came to the realization that I am not as fit as I thought I was. That day after the workout I was hooked, since that day I have worked hard to better my own performance to be a better athlete and help others to set goals and to achieve those goals.
There is no better feeling than making a difference in someone’s life, whether it is getting a elite athlete to do a 120kg clean and jerk or someone who just started crossfit to do a strict pull up.
I want to inspire people ti be more, do more and strive to achieve more, to be more human.
“My CrossFit Journey started when I finished (Nearly finished) my 1st Benchmark WOD (Barbara), I Nearly DIED!!. @ Round 4 I could not feel my arms, my shoulders, my stomach was cramping so bad and then your legs it was horrible, but I was so intrigued to come back the next day to try and complete this WOD, I just kept coming back day after day.
CrossFit creates this community of people that all share the same Goal in life, to be fitter, stronger and to be better prepared for what life Throws at you. It is a sport where Camaraderie is exceptional, where else do you find People cheer the loudest for the person Finishing the WOD last, or assisting you to complete a 5KM run or a couple of Burpees and it is FUN!!
Like many CrossFitters I started following the Best Athlete the sport has seen so far “Rich Froning” and what stands out for me of this Sport is being a better Human and doing this through God,
